Phone to paper?

On a related note, I think operators should make it easy to get a print version of a picture you take with your mobile phone: select an option on the phone, and it will send the pic to an online service like PhotoWays in France. They mail you a printout of the picture, and you get billed directly on your mobile phone bill.

I just found this cool app on Sun’s Wireless Java site. It’s an RSS-aggregator MIDlet! « It allows you to browse news headlines and story descriptions, select stories that interest you, and have their links e-mailed to your desktop. » Cool stuff! Now if only I had a MIDP device to play with… :-)

Against war in Iraq… Via SMS!

petition-irak.com is Stéphane’s great idea! For all you non-French speaking people, this is an SMS-based petition against the War in Iraq. You can send an SMS message to a 5-digit number with your opinion and it will be listed on the site. This is a fantastic application of SMS, and Stéphane got the idea while reading Howard Rheingold’s Smart Mobs. I’ve just ordered my own copy from Amazon :-) The SMS part was implemented with the help of K-Mobile, a French company with a great experience of all things mobile.
